The Oxford Anthology
We have created 9 short films all based in Oxford using Filmmakers, storytellers, writers, actors, actresses and other creaive artist who live in Oxford or have a connection with the city. Oxford is filled with talented individuals, however we felt that everyone was very disconnected from each other. So created this project to unite our community together and highlight the immense talent that we have here in this city.
These short films will explore a range of different stories from multiple cultures and ages, in the hopes to diversify the stereotype that many people hold and show our audience that the city isn’t just about accolades, high society and fancy buildings. We want to show that this city has incredibly interesting people with incredibly interesting stories.
With one in three people living in this city being from other ethnic backgrounds, We focusses on telling stories of that represent the diverse culture of Oxford and making sure different communities are being represented.
We want members of this project to put a spotlight on their work whether they are actors/actresses, camera department, planning, lighting, directing, producing, marketing, etc.
By creating this project, we have opnened pathways for students to come and see how an independent film production is ran and even take on minor roles within with production like Shadowing or as Runners.
